Bought a Smokai smoke generator, PID controller and electric burner to outfit my homemade smoker for low heat smoking and cold smoking. Tested flawlessly this weekend. Anxious to try it on some snack sticks first. Thanks to many on this site for examples and recommendations.

It looks good Is your element 110 or 220 volt? What was the highest you ran it while testing? I would suggest making a shield for over the element to keep anything from dripping on it. Depending on what dripped it could cause a fire
I look forward to seeing how it does on a sausage run or two

Good idea on the shield. Had not thought of that. Thank you.

Ran it to 150 during testing with no issues at 30 degrees outside. Should be good for a little higher. It’s a 110 volt element.

That element is one many folks are interested in.. Have you got a part number you can share ??

Here’s the one I bought.
