I have the ET-73 and love it. I have been everywhere in my house without any problem. I have also been to the neighbors house for a beer and it worked fine (about 200ft. away). I got mine new on ebay for 37.50. best money I ever spent. that being said, this is the only unit I have ever used.....so, I have nothing to compare it to. I think you will be happy with one too.
