So I broke down finally and live chatted a Costco Agent, she did a search at my local costco for product, and ..well here we go;
Vacuum packaged for $2.99, full case $2.85, and cut for $3.79

I'm not sure what Fullcase means, but these are prices for sliced pork belly.

Now my other question is do they carry pork butts for a good price? I didn't want to badger them for price listing on that too. I can pretty much reliably get a bone-in pork butt for under 2 dollars any time at a myriad stores. So right now the only thing going for Costco is the Pork Belly.

Any one out there in the midwest or some thing mind telling me the average price per pound on their pork butts and beef brisket? Also explaining the full case thing etc?

I'm interested in this too. I'm in Illinois and here are some recent Costco prices in my freezer/fridge.

Sorry - I don't have any insight on the pork butt.

Not sure on the stanrd price at GFS for Brisket; every thing else at a glance is cheaper..I imagine they probably have cheaper frozen pizzas etc too. I'll need to stop in and peruse I do believe sooner then later if they'd allow me to walk about first.

<I have gotten two briskets at GFS, each around 3 dollars. On Sale, so I really don't know the normal price>

GFS looks cheaper? Or Costco looks cheaper?

I don't know if those prices above are any deal - I just bought due to availability.

Thanks

About the same honestly. 1.69 for loin at GFS, never even looked for ribs there to be fair. Ribs aren't some thing we commonly eat, so I don't look for them to keep stocked in the freezer. I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth getting a 60 dollar membership that would be used to only get 20-30 pounds of meat yearly LOL.

For me the membership pays for itself due to the much less expensive gas prices at Costco. I'm assuming your costco has gas, if not then yeah it's hard to justify in my mind unless you are buying for a family.

Kinda like Sam's club here. Cheaper gas so we keep our membership.

It does; but it's also a 20 minute or so drive away. I'll have to ask around if any of my friend's got a membership and I can just piggy back along or some thing..or just go in and ask 'Hey can I just..buy one thing here?'

Costco around here only carries boneless butt in twin packs. I'm not sure about the belly, but most Costco's cut allot of their own meat and if you ask the butcher for a belly that isn't sliced you may get a discount. I know they'll do that for brisket around here if you ask for an untrimmed one.

Chris

Well I just need to convince every one it's worth getting a membership... still hoping I remember some one I know with one so I can just tag along occasionally.
