Had the itch to smoke something. I've been so busy and didn't have much time so I just did a quick egg smoke. About an hour with pit blend. Now I have smoked egg salad sandwiches for the week.

Never tried smoking eggs before. I'm assuming you cold smoked them?

Yes sir I did. I have done them up to 200 as well but they get a little rubbery that way. If you like hard boiled eggs or deviled eggs, you'll love them smoked.

I was thinking of smoking some cheese today.... this would be a good time to try smoking some eggs as well. Thanks!

Your eggs look good.

Seems like everyone is trying to smoke eggs this week.   They were on sale so we picked up three dozen for smoking.     I just sent my AMNPS over to a friend so he can try to smoke some eggs today.    He has a rough time to control his heat so like you said, they turn out a bit rubbery.     I told him to try my tray and cold smoke the the eggs with the pitmasters blend.

Once he tries that tray and the pitmasters, I'm sure Todd will be selling another AMNPS..   Also sent over one of my Q-Mats to try.    I really like the mats for smoking meatloaf and fish.   Hope to try some smoked smelt this spring..  That mat would work good for that..

Hope you enjoy the eggs..

Your right John. Todd will be selling another unit. Gotta get some of his mats. I'm with ya on the fish. We do a lot of buffalo carp(almost like eating ham). Good luck with your smelt.

sorry lu1847,  didn't mean to hijack your thread.

Yes, it is. I nuked a bag, then took a peek outside to make sure the smoke was still going and thought.... why not. Smoked for about 1/2hr then put in a paper bag and nuked again for 45sec. Tasted like smoked popcorn

No worries! it's all good!

Just ate one egg from yesterdays smoke. Sprinkled on some Kosher salt and........it was good! I'll be making egg salad later on today and after this little taste test the salad should be delicious. We'll see....

No problem Jp. Glad you liked them. I think the egg salad really brings out the smoke flavor. You make your egg salad the same way we do, sometimes I run a little hot sauce.
