Dutch..Sir...
A while back I seem to remember you getting an attachment for your Kitchenaid mixer....was it the grinder??? or the stuffer??? The wife wants to get a mixer, and was looking at the attachments...Whichever one it was .. does it work good?? was it worth the investment???
Thank you...

Richard, I have both the grinder attachment and the sausage horns. Both work great-My problem is that I don't get to use them more often. It's great for doing small batches between 5-10#. If I were to do bigger batches, I'd look at getting a dedicated stuffer.

you should buy the kitchenaid mixer for a mixer to be honest....the attachments are cool but for grinding meat and all, it's too small...the pasta attachement is cool but honestly...well.....don't get me wrong, I'd never buy another mixer then my kitchenaid, but for grinding meat and all....I got other toy's for that. If you don't do alot of sausage then the attachement grinder might do the trick for a while......

(and trust me, with the amount of baking done in this family, that mixer of mine gets a workout.....gonna have to buy another one so we can have two working at one time!)

We have two Kitchenaid mixers... those things are unbelievable! Haven't tried making sausage yet, but the bug is starting to bite... stay tuned!

Yes they are, we have two of them and there have been times when they were both in use at the same time (especially during the Holiday Season).

Like I mentioned and smoked reiterated, the grinding and stuffing attachments are great for small occasional batches. If youâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]re planning on doing a lot of sausage on a regular basis, it's best to go with dedicated equipment designed for the task.
