I have a V2440. The rolls I can get at the store are 11" x 16'. I am looking on ebay and see a ton of 11" x 50' rolls at great prices. My question is, will the bigger jumbo roll fit my machine?

I have looked on the FoodSaver website and they don't even sell these size rolls or list the roll sizes my unit will accept. Makes me wonder a little if these bigger rolls are authentic. Anyway, has anyone used these and will they fit my unit?

It's the width of the roll that matters, not the length. (It's not like you keep the roll in the machine, you cut off and make bags as you need 'em.)

That being said, I've be wary of third party bags... how can you be sure they are a) safe for your machine, and b) they are safe for food.

I have the same model as you Billbo and I keep my rolls in the unit, not sure if 50' would fit properly or not, the regular rolls you can buy seem to fit with a lot of extra space for a bigger roll though I don't know if you could fit one that is 3x the normal.
What are the biggest ones the site offers, and are the ones on ebay made by Rival?

I too store the roll in the unit. The official site only carries the 11 x16. I want the roll to be able to be in the unit. I have to look closer into the rolls on ebay. They are probably knockoffs so you do need to be careful.

I also have the same unit and I just put a new roll of 8"x 22' bags and there is not in my opinion room for a 50' roll. Maybe you can ask the seller. Those rolls are probally for the new uprite unit because in ours you need to be able to close the lid for vaccum. Sorry

I just bought some of these bags, no they will not fit in your unit but they work very well. I kept some of the cardboard centers from my used rolls and simply rolled a bunch of the 50' roll on them. Wouldn't be afraid to buy these bags. Hope this helps.
