I have a GOSM gasser. It would be nearly impossible to light the propane and try to cold smoke. But, I have an idea. What if I just put 2-3 charcoal briquettes in the cast iron chip pan with some chips on top of them and put the lid on that to prevent flare-up's. And I would have the item to be smoked on the very top shelf. I think I could obtain 85'-95' with that and the Arizona sun in mid summer :) I don't want to have to keep the door open like I did with the slim jims I messed up.

Anyone ever cold smoke with a gasser? How did you do it?

yup i believe that will work... people to similar smokes with an ECB...

or you could rig up an aluminum vent tube to your top vent hole and draw the smoke into another box - barrel - or whatever you can think of to put your food into

this gives you an idea of what i mean
