Nothing too impressive, just covered a fatty with the last of my rub from the fall, and smoked it up. The UDS ran like a champ. Have to seal one air leak, and it will be perfect. Can't believe how long the fuel lasts.

Here is pre smoke:

Thanks cowgirl! Can't wait to give something more challenging a spin.

I was thinking furnace cement, but I'm not sure it will get hot enough to cure. There is a product a friend told me about called muffler weld I need to look at too. Not sure what the solution will be yet.

Where the air inlet tube passes through the barrel. I didn't weld it. I used a pair of conduit locks to hold the piece in place. Welding would fix it, but it's not a skill I ever picked up.

The seal isn't air tight, due to the curve of the barrel not meeting up flush with the flat conduit locks.

Invader,

I used a DAP product called "High Heat," furnace and chimney caulking which comes in a tube. Seems to have sealed well and cured in no time. Oh yeah, I got mine at Home Depot, but DAP is a pretty common brand at most hardwares.

Hope that helps.

Looking good there. These UDS look like they work pretty good. Maybe I should consider one as well.
Andy.

Thanks TMW611! I should get a change to work on it this Friday. Can't wait.

Andy,

I love it so far. I was using the ECB before this. Having temp control is nice, and the increase in space is handy.

Thanks everyone.
