OK its been a while but, I just couldn't take it anymore. I have my smoker on the porch in the rain in Cincy about 38 degrees and I have followed the advice of some of the members and I am going to smoke some spares today with a few modifications to my smoker.
  1. I added some venting to the stack at grate level.
  2. I put foil over the firebox hole if this works I will put some flashing perm over it.
  3. I have my girlfriend smoking with me today!
  4. Bengals will win!

I will be posting some pics as soon as I get my software reloaded PC crashed.

Sounds like a plan, good luck with the smoke.

Still working on the software, but checked the grill and closest to the firebox I am a consistent 230 and by my far end I am 205. I would like it to be a bit hotter but that could be the fire or a fact that I don't have enough wood in the smoker but 25 degrees I will take from front to back.
