I really like seeing those Lang, Gator Pit and Diamond Plate trailers at a cookout, they inspire me to go bigger and badder!

BUT

I've never seen someone pull their Lang down I-94.

I assume there is good reason for this. So, what's the story? If I save up and buy one, will I be restricting my travel to a route of stoplights and city streets?
Is this why some guys have something like a horse trailer with their gear inside?

Only because there aren't any Lang's in Detroit!! I know of a Lang in Grand Rapids that has a couple thousand highway miles on it!
No problem pulling a pit on the highway, just not many of them up here

Hook it up and get moving. Come down to the south and you will see smokers on the move.

Lots of pits rolling around this area. We had a comp. here about three weeks ago and the smokers almost filled up the mall parking lot. It was a qualifier for some national comp. They were coming from Texas, the Carolina's and everywhere in between. One had four chrome exhaust stacks on it with three cooking chambers off one firebox. Verticles, rotisseries, you name it. Interesting: at least half were using water pans with auto-refill so they didn't have to open the door to top off.

Sam's thought they were ready for it, but the meat case got cleaned right out. They were bringing in cryopacks by the truckload. The comp had all the standard catagories plus a wildcard one called "Nothing Butt". You could show off whatever you wanted except butt. Smoky Okie style brisket won that one and was prevalent.
