Bunch of leftover pulled pork so we made a couple pizzas today. BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce, mozzarella, and plenty of PP. One with pickled onions, one without. With onions was the winner, but the dough on the one without was a better recipe.

Happy Sunday to all

EDIT: I should add, these are my wife's work. She is the pizza chef in our house!

what was the preferred dough recipe?

So our preferred dough recipe is actually neither of these haha. Preferred is a poolish, of the three recipes we've tried in our pizza oven the poolish is by far our favorite, but pizza was a bit of a last minute decision yesterday so we didn't have time for the preferment to do its thing.

So this was a mix of our second favorite dough (which we had enough two pies on the freezer), and a quick dough recipe we used to use that is perfectly acceptable and we used to love. But now that we have upped our game a little bit we can really taste the difference between "proper" pizza dough recipes with 00 flour and the recipe with standard flour.

For reference, the pie with the pickled onions is on the dough without the 00 flour and is our least favorite dough of the three we've tried in the pizza oven, but it can be whipped up quick and isn't bad in a pinch.

Nice work . Wait 30 minutes after you eat to get in the pool .
An old wive's tale! And my wife isn't old enough for those! lol.

Both look great!! Enjoy the pool been too cold for that for me so far

Awesome looking pies there! What pizza oven do you have?
Thank you! We have the Ooni Koda 2, it is a 14" oven. Would've preferred slightly bigger but this was the max size that would fit on our existing counter top.

Damn Castro could have made those and I would have gone for it. That looks incredible.
Hahaha. Thank you.

Tell your wife she nailed it! They look delicious!

Ryan
