Going to preseason my smoker Friday 1 question do i preseason with dry or wet chips.

for me (and most others) it would be dry chips... Although dry chunks are even better... pending what smoker you have for the size of the chunks....

I would think dry. Wet is really just to prevent a temp spike.

Dry it is , and it is better to do the chuck , and not the chips ,
