Last nights dinner was Porterhouse steaks. My wife never had these. And it has been a long time since I had them. Probably 4 years ago when I was in Ohio for some work related training. Anyway. I bought these even though they were on the thin side, about a inch. But with things are as they are at the moment you can't be too picky.
No build picks, sorry.

Made up some baby taters with mushrooms and a onion. The tenderloin portion was a tad dry. Still very good though. I really wanted to grill these. But we were under high wind conditions. Maybe next time!

They look good Steve and the taters are a great addition. Porterhouses are what we usually buy and lately I've been SV'ing them then into a cast iron frying pan with a little butter for the sear

Thanks! And one of these days I'm gonna pull the trigger on one of them SV's.

Fillet mignon on one side and a New York strip on the other side of the bone is pretty tough to beat, nice shrooms and taters, Like! RAY

Nice looking plate Steve. I haven't had a porterhouse for a while, it's usually delmonico's. Time to switch up a bit. Like

Thanks Denny. Strange how things work out. I can't be very picky with the choices of meats right now. You take what you can get. And people are avoiding the more $$ cuts. So I'm getting nice T-bones, porterhouses, and Delmonicos, Oh, and Rib eyes. I'm not at the buying the whole beef tenderloins yet. But. Who knows!

Nice lookin' meal there Steve.

Porterhouse is my favorite cut of steak (next to filet mignon) and I have a few in the freezer that I picked up half price before the stuff hit the fan. Been waiting for the right time to get them out. And they are all mine as Sue does not really like steak, she usually gets a chicken breast. :emoji_astonished:
