Found this at the restaurant supply yesterday. Probably nothing close to Taylor or Case pork roll. Decided to give it a try anyways. I've only had pork roll once a long time ago when I was in New Jersey.

This is pre-sliced. Haven't opened it yet. Going to wait until the new vac packer is here so I can pack and freeze.

Smoke away!!!

DS2003, Looks like some good stuff ! Put that vacmaster to work . :icon_biggrin:

So I left the pork roll in my garage. Which acts as a second fridge this time of year. Unfortunately the single digit lows and the below freezing highs has turned the garage into a freezer! Gonna have to thaw it out now! Gotta love winter!

Looks good Case, be interested in what ya think of it once it's thawed... Your new VM will have that packed up in a quick hurry ! Kinda getting tired of the cold, don't mind the snow... LOL ! Woke to another -20* morning ! :icon_rolleyes:

Last night I thawed the roll enough to separate it and pac some for later. Of course I sampled it. It's really tasty. Thin slices would be good on egg sandwiches.

It has a good smokey flavor. I guess it's close to Canadian bacon, but not. Does that make sense? The package was only $3.59, I'll be buying it again for sure.
