So got 7 butts going on my 22.5 weber smokey mountain. Question tho. I have 4 on top 3 on bottom. I opened up the silver door after 5 hrs and noticed alot if fat dripping onto the bottom butts. Will this affect flavor or bark? I'm doing these for my squadron and dont want to mess this up. I usually only do like 3 butts on top. Never load up second rack with big cuts of meat like this. Thanks!

It probably will make the bark softer where it is dripping but I wouldn't worry about that personally. If anything you have some automating basting going on! Yummm

Don't worry to much about it. They'll taste just as good. You may have to rotate them at some point because the butts on the bottom rack probably won't cook as quickly as the butts on the top rack.

Honey goodness yum yum I have done Bake Beans on the bottom just to catch that extra goodness.
Look at Bearcarver's twice smoked ham and his secret baster.
