Pitboss 740fb Mods

Hey everyone, looking for some help here. I'm trying to decide if I should add a chimney to my Pitboss 740fb and plug the holes in the back side. I've seen it as a common modification, but have never been able to find out if it is worth the hassle. Anyone ever do this mod, if so, how does the smoker work after words? Does it offer more smoke retention in the cooking chamber with a new single exhaust point? Anything is helpful. Thanks.

I wouldn't change it to be honest, there are several big name smokers with the same set up and those folks don't complain about performance, makes a cheap blanket cover difficult to use and have to buy the 1 made for them
