I never heard of Jicama. Or seen them. I'll keep my eyes open for them. Do you grate them for the slaw?
 
Jicama is known a Mexican Turnip... I slice it thin and into "shoe string" type cut... my Latino neighbor uses it in Pico De Gallo..
