Yesterday was a beautiful day to give my new pellet grill another workout.
I decided to try a few different types of meat on it and hope for the best.
1 Beef roast
1 Peameal roast
3 Mild Italian sausages
4 Chicken quarters
2 Pieces of salmon
All I can say is that this new smoker does not disappoint.
And as a bonus I found a local supplier that delivered to my door 160 lbs of pellets for half the price of the box stores.
They supply many top name brand pellet grill companies with their blends. I chose 2 apple, 1 cherry and 1 competition blend.
All 40 lb bags each.
Here's a few pics from the day
Thanks for looking

Very nice. I would just about get lost with all the different times of things getting done. Lol

Really? So all a peameal roast is is cured pork loin?

Why not just say that then? :emoji_rolling_eyes: :emoji_laughing::emoji_laughing:

Sorry for the confusion.
We call them peameal up here.
It's what we get the "real" Canadian bacon from. Not that silly looking ham cut in perfectly round sections that you get down there and name it Canadian Bacon lol.

But it does fit quite well over an English muffin for Eggs Benedict! RAY

"A rose by any other name is still a rose". I've been out of Canadian bacon for a month, first time in years. I'll have to wait until November to be able to cure another15 pound batch, no room in the fridge and too hot until then to use the ice coolers. RAY

No worries. I just never heard of it. I guess I make peameal roasts a lot as I make my own back bacon. You are right, I love that back bacon on a sandwich better than the store bought watery hams...
