I'm new here and this looks like a great place for info. I'm building a 6'x8'x7'high smokehouse. My plans are to pour a concrete pad and frame up 2x4 walls. I'm planning on heating with propane and keeping a constatnt temp with a PID so I assume insulation is very important. Can I use standard fiberglass insulation and line the inside with OSB plywood? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't know about OSB.

Before committing to its use, I'd want to know what sorts of gases it produces and at what temps. I would think that a foil-backed foam insulation product would be better, but - again - I don't know. You can probably get information about heat tolerances and about any off-gassing from the manufacturers. You won't need a lot of it for a smokehouse but you want to be sure that it won't contaminate anything or melt at smoking temps.

Keep us posted.
