Hey Everyone,

After some heavy debate, I decided to plunge headfirst into opening my own burger joint. It will be located in Harrisburg, PA, inside of the Broadstreet Market. If any forum members are close by, come check us out when we open on June 4th! The website (still under construction) is www.theharrisburger.com. I plan on serving burgers on the "high-end" side, think roasted garlic, truffle aioli, etc. It's very scary and exciting at the same time. If anyone has any tips or hints that I should/shouldn't do I would greatly appreciate it as it's the first time opening my own place! I hope to use some of the great tips I learned on this site to help me out!!

Just wanted to share with anyone!

Lou

Congratulations on your new business venture and goodluck! As for tips, just power through, as a restaurant owner you obviously have experience on cooking AND eating, you have to somehow utilize those two in order for you to know what the customer wants. Also, put yourself out there, engage with the customers! :)
