Hey all, been a lurking member here for a while and decided its time for a formal introduction post. As in the title, I'm from Wisconsin and I have an addiction to cooking, mostly barbecue.

Here's the deets for me... I'm a middle-aged guy in the greater Green Bay area, but grew up all over the country, including lengthy stays in Texas where I learned from some of the greats in terms of BBQ, and in Louisiana where I fell in love with creole cuisine. I am a huge bourbon fan and love brewing my own beer. I have two young daughters that are trying to follow in my footsteps when it comes to cooking and experimenting with flavors. I own and operate 2 businesses, one doing custom laser engraved products for local businesses, and the other being a line of BBQ rubs, dip mixes, sauces, etc.

All that being said, BBQ is where my heart is (my wife says I have an addiction), and converted part of my garage into a BBQ Bar, which houses my 4-tap homebrew kegerator, a small propane fueled pizza oven, a griddle, a Kamado style cooker (CharGriller Akorn), a CharGriller Gravity 980, a Masterbuilt Electric Cabinet Smoker, A Masterbuilt Portable Fan-Controlled Offset Smoker, a ZGrills pellet smoker, and right outside the garage door my 120 gallon offset that I couldn't get in the garage due to the height of the smoke-stack.

My dream is to within the next 5 years open a restaurant somewhere in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin.

Enough about me, glad to be here! I leave you all with some pics of the BBQ Bar I mentioned. :emoji_grinning:

And just for the heck of it, some of my recent cooks. A full BBQ tray, ribs, smoked/stuffed french onion meatloaf, and a smashburger...

Welcome to SMF from the Colorado mtns! I am very envious of your garage. You must have the best wife ever! Not sure mine would agree to that garage...I might be afraid to ask.

Enjoy SMF, post up some pics. Great guys here - welcome!

Only way I was able to negotiate this with her was to:

A. Buy a house with a 3 car garage so we still have room to park our vehicles.

B. Agree to do 75% of the cooking come summer time.

It was worth it. 😆

I think I have found a new friend. :emoji_blush: I live close to Lambeau Field. Would love to see your set-up sometime. I love doing BBQ and cooking on my Blackstone griddle. Would love to see some of your BBQ products.

Your cook pics look great!! :emoji_yum:

A most hearty welcome to the forum from Green Bay, WI.

Maybe I could get a look at your setup sometime? :emoji_blush:

Sure, once the weather breaks and I can get all my junk out of there that is in for winter storage, lol. Right now its like running a gauntlet with the snowblower, mower, sleds, ice fishing gear, etc.

Hoping to be able to put off the winter stuff away by the end of the month, but you know, Wisconsin..... 🤞

Caleb is coming for you.

/jk Welcome to these forums, although it seems like you would be a person giving advice, not a noob who needs advice like me.

Good call! I would have made that deal on the spot as well!
