odd smokes, the good and the bad

So what is some of the odd stuff you guys have done that turned out good, or bad. I have only done the usual pork butts, fatties, a few ABTs and thats about it. I have read some interesting stuff on here and am looking forward to branching out this winter.
 
oops..yeppers i blew 1.. still to this day i wont forget it..my favorite piece of chicken is the drumstick..put 10 drumsticks on my rotissetrie in a basket..saw i was running out of propane....had added 2 wood chip boxes of maple..for smoke..turned down my grill to lowest setting....figured 10 mins to the store and back no prob..lol..took 18 mins and when i got back i found out my wood boxes caught fire ..my chicken dreams ended..what i scraped off.. wow not helping my credentials here lol . but out of 10 legs..only had enough meat to fill a very small dish for the dog.. a good cook admits a mistake.funny not many replys here..
 
all of us here have had bad smokes. my first brisket was crap. it did have good meat, i just had to cut off the burnt covering first. i was thinking he meant more of unusual stuff to smoke, vs. bad smokes.
