Sorry for your family, but glad you have the fortitude to persevere.
I do have a quick question on the Everything Bagels cream cheese. Did it taste as good as it looked? That's probably something my wife would go for.
Thanks and yes sir it's my wife and daughter's favorite ! I smoke 2 at a time 3-4 times a week and she takes any leftovers for lunch the next day. The flavor is also intensified after a night in the refer.

Man, you're hitting it out of the park! Looks awesome! Love some pretzels! And chuck! Keep your head up, sounds like you have things under control!

Ryan
Thanks Ryan was impressed with the pretzels last night. But the wife put them in a zip lock bag and man they are very good today ! Lots of pecan smoke flavor bit will do a better job of coating them next time. And smoke them a day ahead

Sorry to hear of all the life struggles Keith. Sounds rough. Especially all at once. Kudos to you for being a stand up guy and making sure everyone is taken care of. That pulled beef looks killer. Heck of a job bud

When it rains, it pours... it's how you handle it that builds character.
Cooking and smoking sure is cheaper than a therapist and much more rewarding.
Hang in there.
Thanks SHS cheaper and tastier lol !
Do a lot of thinking watching and talking to myself watching the smoke .

Thanks Jake but don't give me too much credit haha. I was I click away from wearing orange myself. And your step by step pulled chuck sammie post was my inspiration on this !

Oh man fortunately the local sheriff convinced me that my POS future ex SIL should suffer in a 4X4 cell for his sins instead of me.
And I'd say that beef is a masterpiece !

Hope things are on the upside for y'all now, 912.

Great looking chuckies. Chuck is one of the beef cuts at the top of my list for smoking. They always turn out super moist and tender, and are really flavorful.

The love for pulled beef chucky !
Let me say that's it's been a while since I posted a cook. Life has been crazy.
Family had Covid in April with wife hospitalized for a week . Had to kick my
BIL out due to his relapse to addiction.
Daughter and 3 yr old granddaughter moved by in due to impeding divorce from domestic violence( a blessing). Another daughter for married in Sept. MIL passed away 3 weeks ago from covid related illness. BIL was arrested the night before her funeral so he missed his mom's last days on earth and her burial.
But I have been cooking almost daily but not taken time to post.

Found these 2 chucks on sale for $4.99 lb and decided now is the time !
Rubbed 1 with a coffee rub the wife likes and 1 with Twisted Q Insane Cracked Pepper. Love this on steak and burgers. Had room so added cream cheese and coated 1 with Everything Bagel and 1 with Honey Garlic. Had some pretzels open so a light stay of butter and doused with Kosmos honey pecan. Stupid question? Is this the same or similar to what the MRS. used to buy for the crock pot with taters/carrots etc?
we don' see many nice thick roasts down here in South Florida. most look like thick steaks. They do make nice Ropa Vieja.

So sorry what you've been going through with your Family. Glad you're being there and being strong for them. It goes with the territory, right? John Lennon said it best, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Those cooks look fantastic. I've been trying to talk the Mrs. into letting me do a Chuckie, no luck yet. I'll show her these pics and maybe she'll bite, lol. I often find solace while cooking. It give me time to think and clear my head. Stay strong my fellow Georgian.

Thank you sir just trying to be like a cork and go with it lol. She'll love it if you can convince her . My wife had another sandwich today for lunch and I finished it off for supper. And she's not a leftover eater so that says a lot lol.
Dawgs are looking pretty good mow if the Braves just just get it done !

Dawgs are looking real good. Braves should have won last night. Now they have to win in Houston. They've already gone further than anyone thought, so it could happen. My Wife is not a leftover eater either. I thnk I'll be ab;e to convince her sooner or later.

Man, that is a tough stretch. Hang in there, you and yours will be in my families prayers. You crushed that chow though! Wow that looks amazing. It’s a good way to process those emotions and keep the spirits up!

Yes sir I think so. I've only done 1 in the smoker with carrots, onions and taters . I believe the family prefers pulled now. The larger chuck was just under 3 lbs and the smaller was just under 2.
