well i guess you would consider me a newbie i have been smoking for about 18 months. i have smoke about a dozen rack of ribs 3 brisket and am thinking of smoking a turkey. ow ya and dozens of smoked bacon raped jalapenos. I wanted to expand my smoking versatility and try different meats to smoke and hone my other skills. I live in central California and have a side fire box charbroil smoker with a gas grill attached.  i love that thing.  Me and my family are always camping and nothing go better camping then sharing good food with good Friends and good times.

thanks

Welcome to SMF from Nor Cal. You will find all kinds of good stuff to smoke around here. You will love turkey I would just suggest that you brine it first.
