After the amazing inside-out sausage & cheese biscuit fatty experience, I knew my wife was hooked. But I didn't know how much until she called me at work to ask how long it would take to smoke some chicken breast halves.

She had gone out with the specific purpose of finding meat to smoke for dinner this evening. She made her own rub. She set it all up and had this ready when I got home:

Last night, as she waited (somewhat impatiently) for me to stop taking pictures of the biscuit fatty experiment, she said, "You know it really takes the fun out of it when you have to take all the pictures." Tonight, she wouldn't serve it until I had gotten some Q-View shots.

I think she noticed that the five breast halves were nearly too much for the little Rival KC....

Gotta go so I can practice: "Gee, I don't know dear, the chicken was really good. Don't you think we ought to wait a while before we invest in a pro rig? No? Well, if you insist...."

Looks great! I predict you will have a new/larger smoker before fall.

You are a lucky man, a VERY lucky man. Hang on to that woman.

Buck, Too funny. Can I bring Mrs flyin'illini over to listen in on this conversation? (took enough to convince her on the drum)

Flyin'illini, et al.,

Here's a bit of advice I got from a professor, long before I was married. If you want a new hobby, a new this-or-that, an upgrade to this-or-that, you have to convince the spouse that THEY need it more than you do. Get them hooked. My last computer upgrade was a fairly easy sell after setting Mrs. Wheezer up with her own email account and getting her hooked on Yahoo! games. "Not sure why it's loading so slowly, dear. It has as much memory as the board will handle. Well, sure, we probably could upgrade. Do you think we should?"

Looks like a great smoke congrats

Sounds like you may have a new smoker before the weekend is over
