So I am new to this but have been smoking for years.
I recently purchased a BGE medium egg
I am loving it but after several cooks the cleaning out of the ash is annoying.
So I purchased an ash catcher insert I put it together and installed but now the egg isn’t sitting flush it kinda wobbles.
I hope this makes sense trying best to describe.
My question is are there any products that are heat resistant that could be placed in between the ceramic and the actual egg there is a small gap now?
Thank you any help would be greatly appreciated.
Happy smoking otherwise
Jason

Can you describe the ash catcher you are using?

Ash is somewhat manageable. There is some space between the firebox and the base (yellow arrow), and this area can also build up ash and needs to be cleaned out. Not as often as scraping ash out of the bottom, but several times a year. Certain lump charcoal produces less ash than others. Briquettes produce much more ash than lump
