Hello all! Been wanting to get into smoking for awhile now and a friend really has me drooling over his new smoker and smoking every meat and cheese and even nuts. Not sure exactly what I am looking for so I'm here to research smokers before I buy and get tips, tricks and recipes and everything else!

Welcome, there are a lot of good threads on this site. I am fairly new to it, and have found a lot. I have used both charcoal and electric, and there are a lot of information for both. Purists will tell you to stick with charcoal, but I also like my electric, as it is easier to maintain the temperature. Find a good rub recipe and keep trying!

Think I am leaning towards building a UDS. I like making things and good with metal and even welding. Like the side box mod for cold smoking options too.
