Marske by the sea, UK
Hi all,

As my user name suggests I get called Kipper (a long story

) and I play a little bit of old-time banjo. I am from a small coastal village in the North East of England called Marske by the sea.

I'm very much a beginner at smoking and I first got the smoking bug a year ago after getting a bit bored with grill bbq-ing on an Argos £14 kettle bbq. I came across Juanchos split grill website whilst 'doing a google' looking for ideas tips/tricks etc and I've never looked back :O)

I moved on to Weber 57cm Kettle bbq, a Christmas prezzie from last year, and then the 50th birthday fairy brought me a 57 cm Weber Smokey Mountain .

Theres nothing I like better than having a few family and friends around to help eat the food that comes off these, playing a few tunes and enjoying a fizzy lager or two :O) I have a facebook page that my children organised for me, where I have posted a few photos and recipe ideas etc, and I'm proud to say it has encouraged a few others to get themselves a smoker.

I can't wait to read through the threads on here to pick up some hints and tips from the more expirienced and trying all your different recipes and ideas. Finally I'd like to say thanks to TulsaJeff for adding me on here,

regards,

Kipper

Thanks Dave, profile updated.

I've already picked up a few ideas, a couple of fatties will be added to the menu along with the briskets I have just put in to soak in a spicy brine ready for next Saturday
