If you have not cut the door out already.  spin the tank end for end and cut the other side.     That way you do not have the weld seam to look at or the seam  right by the door cut out.

Generally when they roll the plate for the tanks the last few inches is not curved correctly as it has past the rollers on the machine.

There is three big plugs on the other side,so I don't want to mess with filling those holes, the door will be just above the weld line any way ,so not a big deal

What he's saying is being that the weld seam is right there and it's not round for a couple inches. If you cut in that area it's much more likely to spring when you cut your door. Cutting the other side of the tank your less likely to have problems with the door springing. And cutting those holes and welding a piece of plate in the holes is far less work than fixing a door that's sprung.

well i just got word today, need to have surgey on my knee, so the build will be on hold for awhile, still going to have my cousin bend my fire box on the break, and continue to collect materials. so im going to have to stalk these forums for awhile and hopefully come up with some more ideas for my build. but when i get back to it i will post pics .

Thanks loutoo, been busy, but not on the build. Luck is not on my side, see the surgeon tomorrow ,smashed my truck last week, currently in the shop being repaired.tires are a year old and dry rotting, been going round and round with that, only 9735 miles on them maid too much $ and now getting the run around. Can't win! Woke up to my right eye almost swelled shut, got bit by a spider in my sleep. Bud did order the steel today! So it can only get better from here right?

Well guys I started on the build, bum knee and all, still waiting on surgery next week . I couldn't stand it any longer so we ,me and my uncle started on it today. Fabbed up the start of the chimney ,cut out and welded. Started cutting out the door. Taking my time on that, don't want it to warp. Here's a pic of the start
