Found this place the other day when I was looking for info on making ribs. Dont have a smoker yet but I was looking at this one. 

Anbody here ever own one and if so how did you like it.

A lot of people here are pretty happy with a MES 30 or 40. Masterbuilt Electric Smoker. I love mine and have had nothing but successful smokes.

Hi there!  My second smoker was that same model.  The temperature was difficult to control for most smokes, but if you modify the smoker like this: http://bbqinstitute.com/SmokerModifications.pdf , it will be much more steady, and cook much better.  I wish I still had that one.  It could hold a bunch of food.  Everything we smoked on it was great, except the sliced peaches.  We won't be doing that again!  How much are you planning on spending on that Char-Broil?

Argo , do the Mods. to the unit as posted on here and you should be great. I will aslo suggest a piece of metal curved to the Radius of the FB , will help in increasing the life of your investment.

Also , what fuel are you using? Check this out ...http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/search.php?search=Wood+Burning+101  , it may help you and will increase flavor...
