I've read a LOT of posts on UDS builds.  I've been collecting all my materials and had a question about the conduit nuts that some of you have used for the "no welding" version.  I couldn't find any type of nuts in the black steel section where I bought my 3/4" nipples.  I did find the conduit nuts for electrical lines though.  Is this what most of you are using?  Any concern about them having a coating that would be bad for smoking (zinc, galvanized, etc)?  Thanks in advance for the help.  Hoping to get started on my build in the next week or so.

From the pics I've seen, they look like electrical conduit nuts.  I doubt the zinc coating would be a problem, but just to be safe you could burn it off with a propane torch.
