Yes it's a pellet smoker and as soon as it warms up into like the 40's and the wind is slower I'll start smoking. Of course there'll be Q-VIEW. Q-view is my favorite part of the forum. lol I think it will just burn to many pellets now though. Tough waiting but I think it's best.
You know , looking at that picture , if that's where you'd use the smoker , you could probably prop a couple pieces of wood by those railings and make a little sheltered windbreak type thing ....maybe cook something quick like chicken wings. I know I'd be champing at the bit to get smokin' !

I don't thonk you'll have ss much trouble as you think. I'd give iy a try & see how long it takes to get to 200 degrees, then when the weather gets better, time it again. With the insulator I bet there isn,t much difference.
I've smoked in the 20s with a fair breeze blowin' (35mph-ish) but I have a little wind screen I put up. If you put something to break the wind I think you'd be fine especially with the insulating blanket on there. I have no insulation.
