New Smoker from Ky

Hey y'all I just a smoker and am waiting for it to be shipped to bass pro so I can go get it. It's the master built XL propane smoker and I can't wait to try it out. Anyone have any suggestions for easy starter ideas or mods to my smoker other than the wood chip pan I already have a cast iron skillet to replace it
