Hello all! New member here and super excited about my homemade smoker. Just finished it yesterday and smoked a beer can chicken last night and it turned out awesome! Need more recipes to try tomorrow!!

Yep!! Took two beer kegs, welded them together to make the smoke chamber. Then an old air compressor for the fire box. Works surprisingly well. About 7-8 lbs of charcoal isn’t the fire chamber using minion method and never once lost temps from 285-300

Welcome the the only forum you will ever need.

Nice looking set-up! You did a good job on the smoker and the chicken!
Thank you sir! First run with it and only thing I want to change is probably some way to let grease drip out. I have the chimney from firebox to smoke chamber raised enough that grease cannot run back into the firebox and cause flare ups.
