No they still haven’t found her but wow how embarrassing. There is no clearing your name from that one. That’s worse than the adult stealing the signed hat from a kid at a tennis match

I was just reading up on that and that woman isn't the karen.

That's a cool ending for the boy.

It's what I like about the game of baseball in particular, in that when bad things happen, good people, and teams, step up.

I also applaud the dad who took the high rode when he gave her the ball, deserving or not.

That school district from NJ had a great response...something to the effect "If that had been an employee of our district they would have caught the ball bare handed before it touched the ground"!

Oh man this thing is just starting to take off. Oh I bet the internet founds out who it is but doubt that will change her.

One thing I love about baseball, I’m not really a fan but really enjoy the stadium games. I have only been to our local Rockies Coors Field. Really enjoy the experience, but the biggest thing that stands out to me is how the stadium sections (fans) are 100% all about the kids. When a home run ball or even fly ball comes into the seats all around that area make sure a kid gets that ball. It’s all about them kids in that stadium, that’s very refreshing in today’s world.

I’m pretty sure if a Karen took a ball away from a kid in Coors Field, she would never make it out of the stands much less the stadium with that ball.

Before the Charlotte Knights moved into the new stadium in Charlotte, I went to a ton of Knights games. Work was a sponsor and we had great behind 3rd base season tickets, got a good amount of foul balls back our way. One game I caught 3 foul balls - no bounce, straight catch. My son got one and 2 other kids got the others. It's a ball. Most of the ones I ever got were given away. I only kept one if the one we played catch with at the house came up missing. I MIGHT keep a world series jack if an Atlanta star hit it, otherwise it's just a ball. What's it going to sell for ebay? 5 bucks? 10? Milestone balls generally end up back to the players and everything else is just a baseball.

This really started arguments between people. Did she have a point? It's it wrong to travel like 20 seats over to grab a ball like that? Patrons who regularly go to baseball games say its the norm for people to do that, so the guy probably never thought twice about it.

What we dont have is the woman's story. She hasn't had the guts to step up. I saw one guy on a podcast that said there was a grandpa with or near her trying to grab it and thats what she was upset about. Who knows, but the actions of both the father and the woman got the kid far more than just the home run ball, which is a great ending to their experience.

It WOULD be funny if the daughter had the quick thinking to switch out the balls while the woman was yelling at her father. That would be "poetic justice" as they say.

From what I understand from people who go to stadium games (I dont like crowds of people enough to even want to go to one), the balls or the pucks are to go to the nearest child, but sometimes people are just selfish.

Daughter may have swapped the ball! Looks like it to me.
I have a pair of 1984 Chuck Taylors , like the girl sitting in the row behind .
Funny thing is , I thought " Philly Karen " was a new type of sandwich . Like a Rachel is a twist on a Reuben .
Someone should tell that gal not to lead with her face when she goes after someone .

Not sure if you guys saw but this lady's name is ACTUALLY KAREN!!!

Agree and am not a hardcore fan. It's kinda an unspoken rule for typical balls. Now, a home run ball of someone famous or a record or something like that is no holds barred. Here in CLE if you caught a ball and gifted to a kid you'd definitely be getting beers from people.

My take: It appears she could have made the catch but did not or even try. That's a BIG deal. Soon as ball hits the ground means it's anybody's. People take gloves to games for a reason (I did). From here, she was a little too slow to retrieve and there happened to be empty seats. Tough s***. I've missed a few ball grabs but had a good laugh over it. I shudder to think what woulda happened to her in CLE for that. She'd be covered in beer and popcorn at minimum.

Do you have a link or source for her name. Last I saw, there was some poor woman misidentified as her.

Philly is a tough town, hard to believe she didn't get it from the fans more there
Facebook reels all chock full of videos of "how it's done" now. :emoji_laughing:

Ha, ha...with all my blockers, etc on my browser this is what it looks like when someone shares a Facebook link

It would likely taste like cat's hairballs on some sort of tasteless sprouted grain bun with no salt!
That is a very good movie.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Philly Karen recipe

1 hard roll. Not a nice fresh hard roll, an old stale one you forgot to get out of the car 3 days ago
1 oz shaved tofu. If it is not shaved I will need to speak to the manager.
1 oz shredded tofu
1/16 tsp walmart or dollar tree brand paprika
1 oz old mayonnaise. Preferably so old that it is turning clear.

Slice roll in half.
throw the mayo away. I was just being a bitch and got my rocks off making you look for it
carefully layer the shaved tofu and the shredded tofu. it must not overlap the bread or I will need to speak to the manager
dust with paprika, Evenly. If it is not even, I will need to speak to the manager.

Get the manager anyways. I will find something to bitch about

You know what, I care less what her name is and it's probably wrong again LOL

FB is alot cooler to me now. Buying/selling bunch of stuff and the reels are killer. Lots of good cooking stuff. I only post family info relatives and profile is not public.

Hope this works as it too good not to see. If not look up "Core memory unlocked" and you should find.
