New guy from NC

I am very new to the forum and to smokin' in general. However, I have read a lot and learned a lot from the many knowledgable users on this forum. Special thanks to my work colleague and friend, SolarYellow. He was also an invaluable resource.

This weekend was my first smoke, which consisted of jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon and my second smoke was a boston butt pork roast.

Both went well except for a Taylor Weekend Warrior thermometer. It went up and down and at the end was not accurate, but the old analog stand in was perfect and in the end, my family and I ate some very good pulled pork.

My smoker is a 18.5" WSM and I really enjoy it so far.

First off welcome Alan to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anythignto do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.
