New Halo 1B. Need to season and try it but my initial impression is good. Mighty thick, recessed griddle plate for wind resistance, ability to cook with the lid closed, huge grease cup. Liking. Biggest complaint so far was ridiculously aggressive adhesive left behind a sticker touting its virtues. Any thoughts on seasoning with grapeseed, olive, or coconut oil? I have all at the ready.

After a suggestion from Brian @bmudd14474 to use tallow or lard I'm leaning that way. It appears to adhere better than vegetable oils

I use Grape seed or Avocado oil, because that is what I use when I grill of the F.T. so essentially it gets reseasoned every time I use it.

If you have grape seed oil , I'd use that . Thin coats .
Keep in mind as a rule , neutral flavor , high smoke point , won't go rancind if unused long term .
I use vegetable oil . I keep it in a squeeze bottle .
