I have a Charbroil Electric vertical smoker.  Like an Electric Brinkman from what I can tell.

The unit has no vents, top or bottom.  I have been using chunks & foiled chips so far.I need to add some to use my AMNPS.  How much area, top & bottom should I be removing?

I am planning on setting the AMNPS on top of my sand filled water pan.  So the lower vents will easily be below the smoke generator.

2 half inch holes in the bottom and 3 one inch holes near the top of the sides..  That should give you about twice as much air flow as the MES 30 and a UDS when it is running....  Dave

I ended up with (3) 7/16" holes in the bottom of the body & (3) 1-1/8 holes in the lid.  Kept the AMNPS smoldering nicely.  It also makes a good place to put the Smoker thermocouple through.
