Well thanks to the help i've gotten from several of you. My pulled pork has become a big hit. I took some to work one day, and now the general contractor want's to have a bbq for all the subs and asked me to cater it. I thought that was pretty cool. I need help on quantities. I'm doing pulled pork, my wifes great slaw, and baked beans. They asked me to make enough for 70 people. Sam's has a case of pork butts for $50 for 50#s. I figure that should be plenty of meat. How bout the sides how many ounces per person. I'd hate to run out. These are a bunch of hungry construction workers. Thanks in advance for any help.

Pork, yer gonna loose about 50% a raw wieght, figure 1/4 lb per sammie. Sides, slaw I usually do bout 3 oz scoops. Beans I do bout 4 oz scoop. Add 10% ta yer final figures an ya should be good ta go.

Yeah you've got plenty of meat there if you go for that deal and what Trav. said above sounds about right to me for the sides.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Ditto.

If you make the beans from dry ones-you can save some money, but the cans are convenient.....

Them big buns are more expensive for pulled pork, but it can help fill up the bigger boys-a little.....

If it were me I would do a few more butts to be safe especially how cheap they are. With the above amount you are about 1/3 # per person which is a good sammie, but the kind of people you are feeding some could eat 2 of them, especially if they are drinking.
