So my bride made it clear to me that Thanksgiving was her domain this yr and I was responsible for the sides.
Well her Turkey was awesome and the day was great. But I still felt an “emptiness “ inside.. She saw my desire and pulled out another Turkey out of the fridge and said: Here is one for you!!
Now I know why I married here..
But now it’s my turn!!!!

Nice way to use the cheesecloth for a blanket of basting liquid.. We do the cheesecloth also. Makes a nice dark crispy skin in the oven. Keeping it moist isn't hard.

Your killin' me with your pix of wonderful smoked turkey, ahhhhhhhh. From here in Louisiana, land of the deep-fried turkey, I am a fan of the smoked bird. Did a 19.4 lb brisket Wed. doing some pork shoulders this next weekend. 99 cents a lb. ya can't lose. Just got a black Friday price on a food saver seal a meal vacuum sealer.
