my new toy........Kinda

ok well me and the wife went up to Alabama from FL. where we live to see my uncle over the 4th of July weekend. Well while we were there I had a chance to shoot my new to me SKS. I let her have a few shots with it but she didn't really like the way it made her shoulder and arm hurt so set her up with the .22lr. Well that was it after she put a few hundred rounds down rang she was all smiles and wanting on of her own. So on the way home I wanted to stop at the Bass pro shop to see if they had and of the new savage edges in yet and of course they didn't but they did have a nice Ruger 10/22 that someone was eyein.......

Good job getting her into shooting with you!  I've always enjoyed getting them involved in my hobbies but this latest one (#2)...she just ain't gettin yet! LOL  That Ruger 10/22 is a ton of fun and pink to boot!

I have a Marlin Model 60 that is a blast to shoot. Plus 22 ammo is available again around here so you can go shooting for hours

Man I still have not had a chance to shoot my .44 Carbine yet. Picked it up 5 mos ago and still have not had a chance to get out. Very cool that you got her shootin with you!!

very cool........i got a couple of 10/22 that i tinkered with for the mrs. and jr. while i play with the mini-30. as for the 22's, i only put jacketed hollow points through them.....keeps them a lot cleaner than just pure lead. dynapoints from winchester work pretty good.

hey thanks for the tip!! we went to the range last night and put about 200 rounds down range and after that the pink was lookin pretty dirty and she was cryin about it. I told her that was part of the fun now you get to clean it!!

Ha, now she get's to meet Mr. Hoppe's. I hit the range at least twice a month myself.
