I've envied those Thermapens for a long time, but just could never quite justify the price when I had a perfectly functional Weber "instant read" thermometer that cost less than 20 bucks.  Well, good fortune took over last weekend, when I had a good run in a poker game at the same time ThermoWorks was having an open box sale...with Thermapens on sale for $74.  So with since I was was doing it with somebody else's money, I ordered one!

It was in the PO box when Mrs. Red checked the mail yesterday...

Didn't take a shot of the package, but it was sealed tight and unopened...looks like a brand new product to me, and it's fully warrantied.

Already had the chance to play with it a little with last night's dinner, and compared it's speed and accuracy to the Weber...No Comparison!!  It blows the Weber out of the water.

Looking forward to years of good use with this little gem...
