My MES Has no Exhaust. No Air Flow Keeps AMNPS From Staying Lit

I can't find any thread on the forum of anyone with the same smoker as I have.  It's model 20070612.  The only hole it has is a tiny dime-sized one on the back.  This prevents any airflow, causing my AMNPS to never stay lit.  Anybody have any ideas on what I can do?  I basically have a meat roaster at this point, since it can't actually smoke anything.

Should I try drilling holes?  How and where would I do that?  I paid $50 for this smoker.  Would it even be worth it to do that kind of mod on this model?

Not familiar with your model, but I typed 'masterbuilt pro airflow' in the search bar and got quite a few results. Good luck.

Drill a series of holes in the top part of the side walls for the exhaust... same on the bottom of the side walls... I would start with 2 - 3/4" holes on the bottom and 4 - 3/4" holes on the top... If you have a step drill, they work the best... you can find corks to plug the holes if needed, but those numbers seem to work well...

You could try adding a mailbox mod and a 3" exhaust vent to make it mimic the setup that a lot of people have for the digital MES units. It would cost about $30 in parts which would still make it a pretty cheap setup.

Thanks for the tips, guys! I ordered a step drill bit. If that doesn't work, I'll do the mailbox mod. Easier to start with the option that requires smaller holes I think.
