Hello and Merry Christmas,
thank you for allowing me to join.
Recently bought my first charcoal smoker, due to my extreme dislike of Masterbuilt, their customer service, and their digital electric smokers. I'll leave it at that 'cause I know dissing a particular brand is much akin to a politcal post on Facebook. I'll expound(on Mastebuilt) if asked.
anyway, bought an economy Dyna-glo vertical charcoal smoker due to budget and have two pieces of s teel junk already on my patio. If allowed I'll post a review of my likes and dislikes on the smoker later. (the new dyna-glo)
Anyhow, I figured the easiest innaugural smoke should be some baby backs until I get used to charcoal and doing long smokes like butts and brisket.
So, 3-2-1 (ish) ribs it was. I am a firm believer that a recipe is merely a suggestion, and often take liberties, as I have a culinary background.
so here's how it came out (yes I'm a sauce guy)
