I currently live in Southern California, and I will be moving to Colorado the first 2 weeks of January.

I Use a Weber One Touch, and a vertical propane smoker.

Any advice that anyone can provide for how to smoke in colder weather conditions would be awesome.

THANKS

I love morrison. very beautiful there. You will have no problem with the weber but may have to install a needle valve in the propane smoker to keep the low temps you need at high altitude. I used to live in crested butte, winter park, telluride, buena vista, silverton. All high altitude and cold. The weber never failed me but trying to keep low temps in the gas grill was always a challenge.

Why'd ya move

Welcome to sunny Colorado!

I run a vertical propane smoker...the needle valve is a good idea but tends to blow out. For low and slow vertical...i just got a MES30 and it's working great. The digital electric is so much easier than propane to regulate temps. I still use the vertical gasser for cold smoking. I also use an AMPTS...dont get the tray(AMPS)..wont work at elevation >5000ft..tube works great! Other than that...take advantage of the weather and do some cold smoking!
