Every romanian you'll talk to will tell you their version is the authentic one, yet most buy them already made (ready to grill). Lol
From what i understand the authentic recipe is from beef only, but most restaurants serve mititeti made from beef and pork. Some from beef and sheep - i prefer these. I buy them, haven't made them in 20+ years.
beef/pork version: 2/3 beef 1/3 pork - fatty cuts, 1-1.5 cups of beef broth, salt, black pepper, thyme, all spice, coriander, caraway, paprika; garlic....a lot. 1tsp baking soda.
Mix these well and shape thicker than breafast sausages.
Grill.
Serve with bread and mustard.
