Howdy,
I thought Id pass along some learnings.
Ive had both units. The thermostats fail pretty quick, and ive noticed they are not all that accurate.
The first digital unit I had I put a thermostat in it from an oven and gave it to my brother, the control can not stand ANY sunlight or heat from the sun.
I used wood for a while........too much work, but love it.
Since then, I bought an MES analog unit, thinking it would be more reliable, the stat failed after ten uses, it sticks on high.
I made a control box that universally works with anything 120vac
