What do ya think John fxsales1959 fxsales1959 ? Move back north for the white Christmas or stay close to the beach for a white sand Christmas?
I'll take the south side even though the beach sand is a couple hours away, but Florida everywhere is made of sand and loaded with fire ants.
Merry Christmas to you and Linda. We'll see you again in about a year

Happy Holidays to all be it Christmas or Hanukkah
Don't come here if you're looking for a white Christmas... only white here thus morning was from freezing fog on the trees. And I'm fine with that!

Merry Christmas
Ryan

o you use the same recipe?

Ryan

Ryan, my wife is the one who makes the pierogis for our household. She uses the kitchen-aide dough recipe, just flour, eggs, water and a pinch of salt. She makes them every year for Christmas Eve Vilija meal. This is a meal for about 20 people so she makes about 200 potato/cheese and about 50 sauerkraut. This year she has perfected the process with the aid of our chamber vac sealer. She will make one batch of dough, enough for about 45 dumplings. She used to use all the dough trimmings and make more but those later ones tend to boil apart (patches). Then She will cook them (boil), cool, dry and vac pack with some browned onion butter. These are then frozen. When we have dinner we defrost and boil them in the bag, the bag protects them and very little of them break apart. She makes soup noodles from the left over dough. Kitchen aide dough roller and noodle cutter.

Merry Christmas John and SMF
Missed this , as we were down in the sunshine State. Weather was nice and no snow .
There were 2 storms blow in at home, so we missed a very white Christmas.
So it was nice to be away. But I love Christmas and missed it .

We were there for 10 days and Mona would not get off my back, lol

Had a great time , now back home . And thank god for friends with plows on their trucks . Kept the driveway clear for us.

Forty degrees and rain is expected today. I shouldn't have wasted all that time shoveling and blowing the snow.

We got pounded with rain this afternoon. Luckily the forecast winds didn't arrive here.
I've got got 2 fans running to dry out shoes and my backpack.

Yes we were lucky while there also. Weather was nice . Not too hot for the ladies. Me I could have taken more heat. Love the heat and sun if not working in it all day.

We had quite warm weather here the last 3 -4 days and rain yesterday . Most of our snow that was not piled up is almost gone. So there is that : )
