Meatfest 2025 in Green Bay is tomorrow!

[Quiganomics]

Any WI members in the area should go check it out, always a great time. We'll have our booth there and would love to chat with some SMF members. I'll also be doing a demonstration at 3pm.

The daughter also auditioned and was accepted into the kids cooking competition, so had so make up a special shirt for the special occasion.

Hope to get to chat with a few of you and put faces with the usernames. Mention you're from here and I'll get you a free Quiggy's BBQ hat if I still have some left.

Business was really good, almozt sold out and met a lot of good folks, definitely in for next year.

Daughter did the kids cooking contest for grilled cheese, made a pulled pork grilled cheese for her entry. She would have one but one judged REALLY dinged her scored because she said it was "too spicy" since she used habanero jack for one of the cheeses. She lost by 2 points and the one judge deducted 4 for that reason. Everyone was surprised she didn't win....she really impressed on of the judges whonwas a kcbs judge and the executive chef who organized it.

My demo was doing a tutorial on chimichurri, but the kid decided to take over after impressing everyone in the Kids Comp.

Love a good Chimi myself, highly underrated if you ask me. I used to go by a couple different recipes then figured out you can really tweak things if you want.
