What units work in sub freezing weather? I like my Inkbird but 18 as a high this weekend and it will shutoff in that weather. Most list the fire box working temps and not the electronics working temps. I was going to mix deer and pork for lunch meat for the year and Canada is sending its weather down for the week. :emoji_laughing:

What do you use in the cold? Looking for a multi probe unit, 4 probes would be needed

Well they do say that yet my 4 probe signals unit I used for years has worked a lot lower that 32º. I put base right beside the smoker chamber (not touching but plenty of radiant heat) and run the probes inside the box to the protein du jour. Have not had a problem. Last year I migrated to their new wireless RFX probe system which I do love using. BTW the operating specs on those go down to -13º.

I have the Therm Pro Temp Spike. I believe they say it works in temp up -14 deg F

I have never had an issue in cold weather here in the Great White North

I should have been more clear, I need 4 probes or more. The smokehouse is wood and keeps at residual heat away from the unit sitting outside of it.

1 top of smokehouse
2 bottom of smokehouse
3 top rack of meat
4 bottom rack of meat

Also specs on Amazon says 14°F and not -. I did see this one also at 14°F

Looking for other ideas

My IBT-6X list 32°F in its specs.

This other Inkbird list way lower. [EDIT] Ordered, review to follow. :emoji_wink:

Thinking this may be the way. We are in single digits this week at night and no way this IBT-6X is going to swing this. Anniversary is this weekend and might make lunch meat the weekend after.
